ER/Studio v 8 - in the house

As my Italian Grandmother used to say: "Gregorio! The release, she is a here!" Um, OK, I'm not Italian....actually pasty Irish...but I can't get that 'Now that's a spicy meatball!" commercial out of my head this AM. But I digress.

ER/Studio 8! She's in the house! Jay T, Über-blogger Kenn Hussey and the Monterrey development and testing crew have released a really great new version of ER/Studio. I blogged about a few of its marquee features before, and testing has gone well with the beta crew. Thus, the product has been released to the world and can be picked up here for new customer evaluation or here if you are a returning customer to pick up your upgrade.

One major change in ER 8 is related to its licensing system. We have exchanged the prior system for a new and richer system in this releases...which all of our products will be based on moving forward. The company did a web cast going into details about the new system and and changes you can expect and prepare for. You can review this LiveMeeting webcast here (note that you do not need a Meeting ID when you hit the sign in page).

Next up, DBArtisan 8.6. Pitts is in Iasi (say: 'Yosh') Romania (say the R with vibrrrrato) at our labs finalizing the product for release. Tons has been done to fortify this product for is legions of worldwide endusers. Stay tuned for more upcoming blogs the closer we get to its release.
